Ongoing Projects
Our laboratory conducts research on the design and characterization of proteins. We are currently working on multiple supported projects ranging from diagnostic platform development to protein-protein interaction studies.
Nanobody & Antigen Interaction
We experimentally and computationally study the interaction between a nanobody protein isolated from legumes and its antigen. This project is supported by TÜSEB (Group A) and is a collaborative effort with Uyar Laboratory.
Diagnostic Platform Development
Leveraging nanobody-antigen interactions, this project focuses on developing an advanced diagnostic platform. Supported by YÖK (AU-DP) and involves collaboration with Bulmuş Laboratory.
HIV-1 Capsid Protein Inhibitor Discovery
Supported by TÜSEB (Group A) and TÜBİTAK (1001), this involves experimental and computational studies to discover inhibitors of the HIV-1 capsid protein using pure natural products and microorganism extracts (in collaboration with Bedir and Uyar Laboratories).
