Ongoing Projects

We experimentally and computationally study the interaction between a nanobody protein isolated from legumes and its antigen. This project is supported by TÜSEB (Group A) and is a collaborative effort with Uyar Laboratory.

Through advanced modeling and simulation techniques paired with robust experimental assays, we aim to uncover the atomic-level basis for this high-affinity interaction, paving the way for novel therapeutic applications.

Leveraging nanobody-antigen interactions, this project focuses on developing an advanced diagnostic platform. Supported by YÖK (AU-DP) and involves collaboration with Bulmuş Laboratory.

The goal is to engineer stable, highly specific biosensors capable of detecting biomarkers in complex biological fluids with extreme sensitivity and speed.

Supported by TÜSEB (Group A) and TÜBİTAK (1001), this involves experimental and computational studies to discover inhibitors of the HIV-1 capsid protein using pure natural products and microorganism extracts.

By screening massive libraries of natural products, we are identifying key structural conformations that successfully inhibit HIV-1 capsid assembly, working in close collaboration with Bedir and Uyar Laboratories.
